Public Media Engineering
In June 2017, Collin began work with Public Media Engineering LLC, a contract broadcast consultation firm in Chicago, IL. During his time with the company, he has assisted in the large-scale facility move and rebuild in both Seattle and San Diego following the merge of the Entercom broadcasting company and CBS Radio. He also took part in a two-station relocation from Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. in Los Angeles. Locally in Chicago, Collin and the rest of PME have tended to the active maintenance of over 30 media facilities including Chicago Public Radio, SBS Chicago, USA Today, and the Educational Media Foundation.
Since 2013, Collin has worked as an active member of Indiana University's "Pure Student Radio", WIUX-LP Bloomington. He has hosted a weekly music show on the organization's FM waveband for four years and is the co-creator of the station's sketch comedy program, "Radio Ha Ha". He has been a member of WIUX's executive board since 2014, serving as Chief Engineer and Programming Director before being elected to his current position as Production Director. During his time at WIUX, Collin has also interviewed bands and engineered live in-studio performances, facilitated the set-up and engineering of a variety of live events and concerts, participated in two station moves and facility rebuilds, and acted as a contributor to the station's blog. Collin left WIUX in the summer 2017 after his departure from Indiana University.
WLTL La Grange
Collin's broadcast career started in 2009 at WLTL La Grange, Lyons Township High School's student radio station. He hosted a weekly music show for four consecutive years, in addition to reporting for the WLTL news team, hosting a free-form editorial news talk show, writing and voicing for the station's sketch-comedy show, and hosting student band's and artists for live performances and interviews. Collin also served on the station's management team, acting as Music Director for two years.
